This is one sweet giveaway! I’ve been wanting to put a router table in the extension wing of my table saw but I wanted to wait till I had a router lift worthy of cutting a hole in my table for! Fun test for flat pack cutting on the CNC but I should have verified the size. Beer bottles don’t fit in the holes. Maybe European bottle are narrower? Live and learn and move on!

First attempt at a platter/change and key tray shaped piece. Not bad for a second piece on the @rikon_powertools lathe, but a LONG way from producing something worth selling! 🤣

Lessons learned:
• Start with MUCH MORE material than you plan to end with. • Plan ahead better, order of process make a HUGE difference when turning.
• Finish the outside before you start the inside, you can’t turn the outside again after you start the inside
• Don’t go TOO thin! The middle of this platter is about 1/16” thick 😂
